Transitions

For users with Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 4.0 or newer browsers, you can add transition effects to the web page. There are a variety of transition effects you can apply, such as wipes and dissolves, when the page is opened as well as when the page is exited. You can also set how long the transition effects will last.

Adding Transition Effects to a Page

Only users using a Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 4.0 or newer browser will be able to see transition effects. The browser must also have the page transition option enabled.

1. With the page to which you want to add a transition effects open in the Work Window, double-click on the page to open the Page Editor. For more information, see Page Editor Dialog Box.
2. Click the Special Effects Tab.
3. To set a transition effect to be applied when the web page is loaded in the browser, select an effect from the Transition IN drop-down menu, and then select a duration in second for the transition effect from the Duration drop-down menu.
4. To set a transition effect to be applied when the web page is exited, select an effect from the Transition OUT drop-down menu, and the select a duration in second for the transition effect from the Duration drop-down menu.
5. If you want to apply the transition effect to only the current page, proceed to step 6

   OR

   If you want to apply the transition effect to all pages in the project, click the All Pages button.

6. Click OK. The dialog box will close, and the transition effects will be applied.

The effects are not visible in the Work Window. The effects will be visible only when viewing the page in an Internet Explorer browser and only when moving to or from one page from or to another (depending on if it’s an in or out effect.) If you open just a single page in the browser, you won’t see the effect
