The Options Menu on the Text Editor dialog box offers the following options:
Menu Option | Description |
Options and Filters | Opens the Options and Filters dialog box, allowing you to set program options for the Text Editor and apply global filters to text content. For more information, see Options and Filters Dialog Box. (Not available in Code Edit Mode.) |
Expand Hyperlinks | Select to automatically convert typed URLs (e.g., www.virtualmechanics.com) to hyperlinks and show the underlying code in both the Text Editor dialog box and the Work Window. |
Auto Spell Checking | Select to check spelling as you type. Misspelled words will appear highlighted. You may set auto spell checking options with the Options->Spelling Preferences command. For more information, see Options (Spelling Preferences) Dialog Box . |
Spelling Preferences | Opens the Options dialog box, allowing you to set auto spell checking options. For more information, see Options (Spelling Preferences) Dialog Box . |
Dictionaries | Opens the Dictionaries dialog box, allowing you to open and close dictionaries and edit the contents of an open dictionary. For more information, see Dictionaries Dialog Box. |
Editor Toggle Color | Opens the Color dialog box, allowing you to select a custom color to apply to the Text Editor background. For more information, see Color Dialog Box. |
Toggle Background | Select to alternate the Text Editor background between a custom color and the default color. Your selection will not affect the actual background color of the text object. To change the background color of the object itself, use the Shading Editor dialog box. For more information, see Shading Editor Dialog Box. |
