A dropdown list input (or “option menu”) is possibly the most versatile of form inputs. You can use it to offer numerous input choices or only a handful, and it takes up the same amount of space on your page either way. You can also set it to allow the user to make multiple choices from a single selection list, by mouse clicking each choice while pressing the CTRL key.
To populate the list of menu options in the dropdown list, click to checkmark the Drop-Down Menu option box. Then, click the Values button on the Options List tab of the Form Editor dialog box. Click the Insert button, and then add a Name and related Value for each option you want to include in the menu. If you want one of the options to be pre-selected as the default choice in the input field, click to checkmark the box to the left of the option name. When you are finished, click OK to accept the menu options.
To allow users to select more than one option from the dropdown menu, click to checkmark the Multiple option box on the Options List tab of the Form Editor dialog box.
